Healesville Library
Project Type: New BuildingBuilding Type: Colocated
Completed: 2010
Healesville library opened on 10th December 1975. From a small area tucked away beneath the Memorial Hall, the library space has been added to and modernised over the years and today is a bright, modern, comfortable and inviting building. The scale of the building and services offered ensures it is a valued resource used by a large number of the community. Children’s storytimes, school holiday programs, music, guest speakers and craft and writing workshops all contribute to the library’s popularity.
Key Features:
- We have a commercial kitchen in the middle of the library-this is used for monthly cooking sessions.
- The Healesville community Hub houses the Council, the Library, Eastern Community Legal Centre, Healesville Historical society and Yarra Ranges Council Aged Care. Since placing all these services in the one building the Library stats have increased.
